Beaches, Desert, and Palm Grove

This hike follows the coast of Morocco, covering a few kilometers from the south of Agadir to the ranch! It is possible all year round, starting from 2 riders (up to 8 maximum).
This hike is intended for riders who are confortable at all peaces and have good horse-riding experience on all types of terrain. It is recommended to have good physical fitness. On avverage, you will spend 5 to 6 hours on horseback perr day.
You willl ride well-trained and physically fit horses with recently renewed hight-quality equipment.
The route included numerous passages along the beach, but the duration and paces will depend on the tide level.
While being confortable, thanks too great selection of hotels and guesthouses, this hike is fully immersed in the deep and authentic Morocco, far for the typical tourist routes.
What surprises our riders the most? It's the oppotunity to cross different landscapes every day! Indeed, the coastal area is full of surprrises in this region! You will go from the beach to cliffs, crossing desert and palm groves.
The management of the ranch and the hikes is provided by certerfied professionals with many years of experience in equestrians activities.
It is usefull to bring on trail: Sunscreen, lip balm with higt SPF, a long-sleeved collared shirt, a light scarf to protect your neck and decolletage, confortable riding pants, as well as chaps and shoes that allow you to walk confrotably. Water in provided. Helmets are avaliable for you (but please advise us in advance and give us your size).
Travel Book
Day 1 – Arrival in Agadir
Welcome to Agadir airport and transfert by taxi to your hotel. The horses and the team are set up within the hotel for an initial meeting.
Enjoy a typical Moroccan dinner.
Day 2 – Agadir – Takat
Departure from Agadir on horseback. As soon as you leave the city, you will ride along the beautiful arm of the Agadir delta. This will be an opportunity to observve seagulls, herons, and other large wading birds that nest all year round.
You will cross a centuries-old eucalyptus forrest before reaching the beach that borders the nature reserve. In the evening, you will return via shaded tracks to the Takat campsite, where you can enjoy the swimming pool.
You will spend the night in a large traditional Berber tent with all the comfort and amenities
Day 3 – Takat – Sidi R'bat
You will head back towars the ocean and embark on a ride throught the vast sand dunes of unexpected desert.
Lunch will be enjoyed by the ocean before continuing along the coast, passing by Berber fishing village with a sea view. You will follow magnificent track that overllook the clliffs until you reach the village of Sidi R'bat.
You will spend the night at a beautiful traditional hotel in Sidii R'bat, with the immensity of ocean its colors as backdrop.
Day 4 –Sidi R'bat – Massa Palm Grove
It will be a colorful and discovery-filled day as you ride along the Souss Massa National Park, a biosphere reserve in the Arganeraie region. This is a opportunity to observe the last colony of northern African bald Ibis.
You will cross the palm grove, an oasis of greenery that contrats with the desert landscapes of the previous days. Lunch will be enjoyed in the shade of argan trees, near an equestrian barracks where you may encounter the powerful horses of the Royal Gendarmerie.
In the evening, you will reach the palmeraie de Massa Hotel, where you can take a swim in the pool or enjoy a traditional hammam (Hammam reservations only, mimimum 3 people)
Day 5– Massa Palm Grove – Cliffs
You will be accompanied by plantations, olive trees and palm trees, until you exit the palm grove. After crossing the boundaries of the delta, you will encounter the ocean and its troglodyte fishing villages.
You will spend the evening with a typical Berber family who will open the doors of their home to you.

Day 6 – Cliffs – Ranch
Last day of the hike, you will cross the desert at the top of the cliffs to the fishing port of Aglou where you will have a lunch.
If the tide is low enougnt, you will make your way back tto the ranch along the beach, covering 15 kilometers of fine sand.
If the tide is too high, you will return through the dunes and hills that overlook the beach
Upon arrival, you will discover the ranch, an oasis of greenery where you will soent the eveneing and the night. You can enjoy the gardens and terraces that offer stunning views of both sea and mountains.
Day 7 – Ranch
For you last day, you have two options:
- Option 1: Embark on a full-day hikr in the mountains overlooking the ranch, with a picnic under the argans trees. This will give you the opportunity to gain some elevation and admire the coastline one last time with magnificent view.
- Option 2: Enjoy a morning outing to the sea, allowing the horses to walk in water. This is ideal recovery purposes. For those who prefer to have a free afternoon, you can choose to relax on the beach, indulge in a massage, or visit Mirleft or Tiznit

Day 8 – Return flight from Agadir
On the day of departure, depending on the flight time, you have the option to take a trip to Mirleft to bring back soome souvenirs or to indulge in the services of our masseuse/beautician who will be happy to reliieve any muscle soreness.
Afterwards, you will be transferred to agadir Airport for your retrun flight, with memories to cherish
All hikes are accomanied by at least one guide, a cook, a 4 by 4 stewardship and mobile kitchen and more if large group
